On July 14, 2025, during the closing ceremony of the II Republican Field Olympiad of Young Geologists, an event of great significance took place for our college.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, former Minister of Geology (1993\u20132000), laureate of the K. Satpayev Prize, and discoverer of the Amangeldy gas field \u2014 Serikbek Zhusupbekovich Daukeev<\/strong> \u2014 presented the college with a plot of land located in the Delbegetey<\/em> massif.<\/p>\n

The Delbegetey granite massif has for many years been the site of geological field training, designed to consolidate the theoretical knowledge students gain from courses in structural geology, geological mapping, mineralogy, petrography, paleontology, and historical geology. The main goal of this practice is to develop students\u2019 field research skills through the study and description of rocks, ores, fossils, and rock dislocations during reconnaissance routes and independent geological mapping.<\/p>\n

The absence of a dedicated training site has long complicated the organization of such fieldwork. Thus, Daukeev\u2019s generous gift represents a tremendous contribution to the high-quality training of future geologists \u2014 an act of deep care and commitment to the advancement of geological exploration in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n

In addition, Serikbek Zhusupbekovich announced the establishment of a scholarship<\/strong> beginning in the 2025\u20132026 academic year: a monthly award of 50,000 tenge<\/strong> for the college\u2019s best student. The recipients will be selected by the College Academic Council. This initiative will undoubtedly become a powerful motivation for our students to excel academically and pursue scientific achievements.<\/p>\n
