On April 8, 2026, a seminar on mas-wrestling — a traditional sport of nomadic Turkic peoples — was held at the Geological Exploration College under the Education Department of the Abai Region. This sport is included in the program of the World Nomad Games.

Approximately 130 participants attended the seminar, including school and college teachers, pupils, students, and sports professionals.

👨‍🏫 College instructors Kuanysh N. Kamzin and Ruslan Z. Rustemov:

· shared their experience in training processes and athlete preparation;
· showcased the college’s first achievements.

🏆 At the 1st International Tournament in Astana, the college students won two bronze medals.

During the practical part of the seminar, participants explored:

· refereeing practices;
· mastering technical techniques;
· demonstration training sessions by athletes.

At the end of the seminar, all participants received certificates.
K.N. Kamzin and R.Z. Rustemov were awarded referee certificates and licenses granting them the right to officiate at international tournaments.

✅ The seminar highlighted the importance of developing national sports in Kazakhstan and demonstrated the active role of the Geological Exploration College in this field.
