This year, the College has a club “Abaitanu”, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev.  The drama club, which has been working since 2004 under the name “Gaukhartas,” now it is called “Abaitanu”, is also a symbol of spiritual revival. The club consists of students who are able to organize various productions, make script for various events, promote Kazakh traditions and art, poetic art and oratorical skills. Club meetings are held according to plan. In September, the work of engaging students in the club was done. In October, a list of club members and students who write poems and stories was compiled. Today the club has 17 students:

In November, a poetry contest was held among members of the club on the topic “Semey- ulylar mekeni”, in December, a creative meeting on «History of independence”, and well-prepared students took part in the poetry contest “My Kazakhstan” in the college lobby. Berik Nurbol, Mubarak Aidos, Tynysbai Dairkhan, Bakhyt Adilbek read poems about the President, sovereignty and independence. Club members’ participation in college-related literary activities events focused on literary creativity was shown at the evening dedicated to the Independence Day. They prepared literary and musical compositions and read monologues of the three Kazakh biys Abylai khan, Issatai and Makhambet, the poet Saken and the December victims K. Ryskulbekov and E. Sypatayev. Each month, additional points were awarded to members of the club. In the second semester it is planned to write short stories, poems, and essays and to prepare performance for the city’s Amateur Arts Festival, dedicated to Abay’s 175th  birthday .
