On May 13, 2025, the Geological Exploration College hosted a training seminar on the topic “Designing Lessons Using SCAFFOLD Tools.”
During the event, teachers who had completed an advanced training course organized by NAC “Talap” (held from May 12 to June 5, 2025) shared their knowledge and practical experience.
The purpose of the seminar was to develop and enhance pedagogical competencies required for designing competence-based lessons.
The program aimed to build skills for the effective implementation of modern educational technologies to improve the quality of teaching, support lesson planning, and assist students at various stages of mastering educational material.
Seminar objectives:
-
To master and apply the SCAFFOLD tool in educational practice;
-
To integrate a competence-based approach into teaching activities;
-
To design competence-oriented lessons using innovative and adaptive pedagogical methods.
Participants learned that the SCAFFOLD tool consists of 102 cards, divided into five groups, which provide teachers with methodologies and step-by-step guidance for each stage of lesson planning.
These cards were developed to help educators design lessons that integrate key competencies and foster student development.
During the seminar, participants also reviewed lesson plans developed by five teachers who had completed the course and received detailed answers to methodological questions.
