Seminar «Modern types, forms and methods of assessment (criteria, formative and summative assessment)»
One of the main factors for the successful creation of an educational model and infrastructure for technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan is the availability and implementation of fundamentally new educational programs and advanced training technologies that meet the needs of the country’s developing economy and international requirements.
The assessment process is one of the most important elements of modern teaching and learning. The new system of criteria assessment for Kazakhstan is aimed at developing students, increasing their interest and motivation to learn. This can be achieved by setting clear and measurable evaluation criteria that are clear to each student and their parents. Using clearly defined evaluation criteria, both the teacher and the student will understand:
- At what stage of training is the student?
- Where does the student seek in the study?
- What should be done to help them achieve their expected learning outcomes?
On November 13, 2019, the Subject-cycle Commission of the English language held a workshop on «Modern types, forms and methods of assessment (criteria, formative and summative assessment)».
